The easiest and quickest way to treat yourself with something sweet and healthy is to prepare some nut butter cups. You need a freezer and some paper cupcake holders to make them. Use any type of chocolate you prefer, I chose a high quality cooking dark chocolate with low sugar content.
I was craving after almonds today so cracked open a jar of Filthy Fit almond butter, but use peanut or cashew butter if you prefer.
Ingredients for 12 cups:
300g chocolate
2 tbsp coconut oil
6 tsp nut butter of your choice
A touch of sea salt on the top (optional)
Method:
Melt the chocolate and the coconut oil in the microwave and scoop into the cupcake papers.
Freeze for 10 minutes, then scoop the nut butter in the middle of each cups.
Pour the rest of the chocolate on the top of the cups and freeze for a further 10-15 minutes before serving.
